Have more “von” [fun] !

The von is originally German, means “from” and is pronounced almost as “fun”.

In the beginning, the von was used to describe the place of birth or work place.

The Royal Danish family derives from Glücksburg in Germany and our (the Danish) language is highly influented from German.

In the 18th century, French was the accepted language among the  ladies of the Royal Danish Court, German they used when adressing the dog and Danish when they yelled at the servants.

In the 1770’s and until 1860, every Danish military officer used the von before his family name.

Our family name Bjeldbak derives from the hill Bjeldbakken, hence my nickname “von Bjeldbak”. The hill is situated outside the town of Agersted, Denmark. You can find it on Google Maps here.

I’m not a German aristokrat; the von is only used for [fun].

Mission: to teach photography worldwide

Teaching how to see while having von [fun]

I’m a professional photographer, splitting my time between commissioned jobs and teaching at my own photography workshops.

I prefer to get away from the tourist hordes and into the hidden parts of the urban landscape where I capture the genuine local life in my artistic style.

It’s become my mission to teach creative photography all over the world. When you master it, it’ll change the way you deal with problems and challenges, enabling you to see them from a different perspective and solving them with a much higher grade of satisfaction for all involved parties.

No gear-nerds here

Have von [fun] with the gear you already have

There’s next-to-no gear-talk on my website  and workshops. I concentrate on what you can achieve with your  current gear and how to get the most out of it.

That’s probably why I’m not sponsored by any of the camera manufacturers.

You’ll get my  independent advice on what to acquire and wether or not  it’ll be suitable for creative street photography.

I’d rather see you loaded with creativity rather than photo gear. Travel light and have more von [fun].
